What's on your "do before I die" list?
Submitted by Caroline.I have a list of a little over one hundred things somewhere on my currently broken computer - most of them meaningless to anyone but myself. Like so many countless other people, I'd like to lose some weight, finish that novel I've got sitting in a box in the closet becoming bedding for mice, and travel around the world pretending to be a jet-setting snob.
There are other things I want to do, some of them serious, like graduating for medical school and working for a nonprofit like Northwest Medical Teams or Doctors Without Borders. Some of them are not so serious, like playing miniature golf because I never have, or making a quilt out of the jeans that aren't going to fit anymore because I sweated everything that was holding them up off in the gym.
Most of my Things To Do are there as little things to remind me to always keep living. Always take risks, always try something new when the opportunity presents itself. I've grown a lot in the last few years, but there is always more room to grow, and I never want to stop redefining and discovering who I am. I don't need a list to plan what I'm going to do with the rest of my life, I have a list because the rest of my life is going to be so full of things, I don't want to forget to do any of it.
